There are two methods for cropping images in Photoshop.

Select the part of the image you want to keep with the marquee tool (or any other selection tool such as the magic wand) and then select Crop from the Image menu.

Select the crop tool in the tool palette. Select the part of the image you want to keep and then press the enter key.
